Photographing people lies at the heart of my love of photography. Everyone is different and I love to photograph people somewhere they feel comfortable with, whether it's at home, at work or just doing something they love. Sitting in front of a background isn't that exciting for you or me, so I love those jobs where anyone wants something just that little bit "different."

Travel first sparked my interest in photography when I was a university student. Traveling through Thailand with a Lonely Planet guidebook and my first point and shoot camera I became fascinated with the travel images in my guidebook and I dreamed that one day I would work as a travel photographer. A few years down the line and many journeys later I signed a contract with Lonely Planet and another one of my photography dreams came true.

Every year I travel as much as I can, providing images for a variety of guidebooks and agencies, although it's technically work, it's one of the most enjoyable jobs I do.

I regularly work events in Tokyo and all over Japan, ranging from intimate cocktail parties for fashion brands to large scale corporate events for a variety of corporate clients from all over the world.
